The person I am today is not the person who will achieve the vision I have for my life.
To turn that vision into reality, I will need to learn to think differently; to embrace new concepts and new ideas that challenge me.
I will need to learn how to work more effectively and with greater focus and intensity.
I will need to embrace my courage so I can overcome my fear so I can reach out for help when I need it and, most importantly, offer help when I’m asked for it.
I’ll need to transform what I believe so I can achieve what is for me, today, impossible.
But impossible is just the label we apply to things we haven’t succeeded at yet; more often things we haven’t even tried yet.
Impossible is the label we apply when we’re afraid to step outside of our comfort zone and do something new.
Impossible is the label we apply when we’re terrified of our destiny, more specifically when we’re terrified we might actually achieve our destiny.
It all starts with a decision. One simple commitment to your future self.
What is your dream? What is the vision you have for your life? Write it down.
When do you want to turn your dream into your reality? Pick a date and write it down.
What are the seven major steps you must take to accomplish your goal by your deadline?
Write them down.
Are you scared yet?
If yes, excellent. This means you care. This means it’s important enough to you that you’re willing to feel something.
Now, take the first of your seven steps and break it down into seven small steps to achieve that larger one.
And… START on that very first small step. When you’re finished, place a check mark beside it, celebrate your success a moment, and begin on the next small step.
Turning your dream into your reality is really this simple. But it takes effort – daily specific effort in service of the ultimate vision you have for your life.
