If you’re angry at someone’s opinion, that’s a flashing neon hint that maybe, just maybe, you’re not as open-minded as you think.
There is space in the room for more than one opinion. It doesn’t mean one opinion is right and the other wrong. It may, but how will you know if you refuse to listen?
So, if you’re being rigid about a position; perhaps it’s time to implement Aristotle’s principle into your life.
Take a deep breath. Hold it, then exhale fully.
Entertain the opposing opinion without accepting it.
Assess it without owning it and see if it holds any value.
This will help restore gratitude, love, joy and compassion into our daily lives.
